Health & Safety Manager
When registering to this job board you will be redirected to the online application form. Our Building Safety Division, located in Kent, is looking to recruit a Regional Health and Safety Manager to join the Division’s Technical team.
The Regional Health and Safety Manager will support, train, and monitor construction sites and offices to ensure adherence to health and safety policies, procedures, and legislation. Provide expert advice on health, safety, and welfare matters across the organisation
* Collaborate with construction, technical, and commercial teams to develop pre-construction health and safety plans
* Conduct audits to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and internal policies
* Oversee and assess the performance of external health and safety consultants
* Attend and contribute to health and safety meetings
* HSE) and represent the company with external groups such as HBF and MHBG
* Identify and recommend any necessary health and safety training; deliver in-house training when required.
* Drive knowledge sharing and learning within the health and safety teams to improve practices
* Support the Group Health, Safety and Environment Director with ad-hoc projects
Previous experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or Manager is preferred, ideally within a construction or house-building environment
* Appreciation of the Building Safety Act, although a working knowledge is preferred, it is not essential
Qualifications and Training
* NVQ 5 Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent
* Full UK driving license required
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
* IT literate with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Good planning and organizational abilities
* Ability to communicate with people on various levels from customers to contractors
Willingness to travel nationally for the role
* Willing to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours worked
* Please note this role is subject to a basic DBS and financial pre-employment checks
