The Gravity Global PR team is seeking an Account Director following several recent client wins. Based in London, we support a wide range of UK and international brands, priding ourselves on building long-standing relationships with our clients.

Our Account Directors play a crucial role in our success. They serve as a senior contact for our clients, responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and management of their accounts while mentoring junior members of the team.

We are looking for candidates with exceptional writing and media relations skills, and experience in earned media strategy, reputation building communications, and using PR to create executive visibility.

Are you a confident Account Director or an ambitious Senior Account Manager ready for the next role which will see you working across a wide range of interesting B2B clients? Are you a generalist or someone who is ready to broaden their specialist experience to work across clients in the financial, technology, aerospace, automotive & e-mobility, healthcare, manufacturing and industrial sectors?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Can understand and explain complex information from clients to the media
  • Understand multiple industry landscapes and the issues and opportunities that may directly or indirectly impact them
  • Confidently counsel and advise clients
  • Develop and deliver strategy and plans
  • Be the day-to-day client contact
  • Work with colleagues to ensure successful implementation of tactics and be the final quality sign off to maintain high standards
  • Develop content for a variety of purposes (releases, articles, whitepapers, social)
  • Confidently pitch stories to national and trade media
  • Mentor, coach and develop junior members of the team
  • Work with other agency teams to build and deliver integrated programmes
  • Play a leading role in new business from RFP responses, pitch preparation and presentation.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • You will have solid PR agency experience and proven track record in B2B communications
  • A passion or experience in sustainability communications is a benefit
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and best practice
  • Success obsessed and results-driven with a client-focused attitude
  • Be an innovative thinker that brings strategic value to clients and the agency
  • Strong leadership skills and experience of leading a team and coaching junior team members
  • Have experience in budget management
  • Eager to work on a range of clients in different sectors – large and small - for local and international programmes, collaborating with cross-agency teams.
