Learning Support Assistant - Specialist SEMH Provision

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Graduate Roles - Learning Support Assistant)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate

Are you a recent graduate passionate about making a real difference? Do you have an interest in Criminal Justice and using restorative practices to help young people grow? GSL Education are offering an excellent opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist provision in Redditch. This role is ideal for a graduate looking to make a positive impact in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Through restorative practices, you will help build empathy and offer comfort while supporting the students in their personal development.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

Support students with SEMH needs in their learning and social development.
Use restorative practices to help manage behaviour and resolve conflicts.
Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:

Recent graduate with an interest in Criminal Justice or Restorative Practices.
A passion for working with young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.
Will have a Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/ Child and Adult Workforce) registered to the Update Service. - If you don’t already have a DBS, we can help you apply for one.
