IT Security Administrator

The purpose of the Information Systems Security Administrator (ISSA) function is to facilitate the IT Security function within Grant Thornton as part of the IT Security team. The ISSA is responsible for the operational tasks associated with the security systems of Grant Thornton UK LLP. These include consolidation and analysis of security logs from the disparate security systems, responding to security incidents, development of security controls and mitigation of cyber security risks within the business.

A look into the role

As an ISSA within the Information Security Team, you will:

  • Develop a close coordination with the IS team and wider service lines to understand the cyber risk to the business and how the security applications and platforms can be used to address and reduce exposure

  • Work with managers in other teams to ensure effective cyber security across the organisation

  • Review reports from the SIEM , investigation of security events, liaison with Infrastructure personnel and operational SOC management

  • Review of external and internal Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing results and investigation of alerts.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as an ISSA the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • Demonstrable technical knowledge in mainstream IT systems

  • Experience in IT Service Delivery / IT Security / IT Risk management

  • Demonstrable evidence of knowledge of IT Security matters

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Cloud Security Architecture

  • Penetration testing

  • Business Continuity planning and management

  • Standards development within the ISO or ITIL framework

  • Good general business experience
