Overview and Responsibilities

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a vital role within the payroll department, reporting directly to the Head of Payroll. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing two monthly payrolls for over 1,500 employees for our client and their subsidiary, maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout.
  • Collaborating with senior stakeholders to implement process improvements and automation within the payroll function.
  • Managing payroll queries from both internal and external sources.
  • Handling various payroll-related tasks including SSP, SMP/SPP, salary sacrifices, and pension administration.
  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and supporting the launch of new initiatives, such as a salary sacrifice pension scheme.

Skills and Experience Required

Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience.
  • Proficiency with Zellis Resourcelink is essential.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, in-house payroll environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Collaborative and team-oriented, able to foster strong relationships across departments.
  • Highly organized and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing time effectively.
  • Able to cultivate collaborative relationships with the HR department.

Location

  • Based at the company's headquarters in West London.
  • Flexible working arrangements, with a combination of office 3 days a week and remote work 2 days.
