Your Impact

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of payroll processes, primarily focusing on the UK. Your advanced knowledge will be pivotal in managing start-to-end payroll administration, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, and providing expert guidance across HR Shared Services. You will lead the development of new policies, integrate work across teams, and drive successful outcomes.

What the Role Offers

- Comprehensive Responsibilities: Manage start-to-end UK payroll administration, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.

- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with stakeholders including HR Shared Services, Benefits, Total Rewards, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams.

- Leadership Opportunities: Direct existing principles, guide the development of new policies, and lead teams to achieve results.

- Risk Management: Handle HMRC-related queries, manage audits, and oversee statutory reporting and compliance.

- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with payroll vendors and other related service providers.

- Project Involvement: Act as an individual contributor on payroll projects, driving initiatives to completion.

What You Need to Succeed

- Advanced Payroll Expertise: Extensive experience in start-to-end UK payroll processing.

- System Implementation Skills: Ability to manage payroll systems and implement changes effectively.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with HR Shared Services, Benefits, Total Rewards, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams.

- Vendor Management: Competence in handling payroll and related vendors.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK employment legislation, including pensions, expenses, P11Ds, and Benefits payroll administration.

- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

- Compliance and Tax Knowledge: Strong grasp of payroll compliance and tax calculations related to specific pay elements.

- Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
