Banking Operations Officer

Start - ASAP
Recognise and manage operational risks involved with each type of transaction.
CDD/KYC collating the CDD documents for Financial Institutions (e.g. Nostro, Vostro Bank) and screening new customers using systems;
Treasury products processing and settlement – mainly (inter-bank) loan/deposit, Foreign Exchange / FX Swap, Bond settlement, Repo / Reverse Repo, Interest & Cross-currency swaps.
Correspondent banking/GBP clearing – process payments in an accurate and timely manner;
Provide backup for tasks such as loan administration for syndicated and bilateral loans, trade finance transaction, etc;
General Account Management – populate the core banking system with new account and/or customer data; process incoming third-party payments and populate the core banking system with remittance data to facilitate the creation of SWIFT payment messages.
Back-office reporting – manage reports for departmental and management information;
Additional ad hoc tasks as required by the manager.
Experience in banking operations, e.g. Payments, Settlement, Trade Finance and Treasury Operations.
Ideally Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Economics/Finance/Accounting.
