Main duties of the job

To provide the highest standards of patient care and ensure that these standards of care are delivered.

To perform all general duties of trained theatre personnel and in addition any duty requiring special skill and ability within the surgical speciality.

Assess and plan care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programme of care.

  • RGN Diploma/ADNS/Nursing Degree
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • OR HE Diploma/BSc in Operating Department Practice/NVQ Level 3 ODP/C & G 752 o
  • OR Registered Operating Department Practitioner with valid HCPC registration

Desirable


  • Mentorship Qualification

Experience

  • Evidence of inter- professional working

Desirable


  • Completed competencies in Anaesthetics, Surgery & PACU
  • Experience working within an operating department environment

  • Ability to work autonomously
