Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join their commercial team. The Sales Estimator will play a crucial role in developing accurate cost estimates for customer projects, ensuring competitive pricing and supporting the sales team in meeting revenue targets. You will work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to deliver optimal manufacturing solutions for bespoke projects. As a Sales Estimator, you’ll ensure all technical requirements are met while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction. Main responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Generating accurate cost estimates based on project specifications and technical drawings.
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of all estimates and improving the accuracy of future estimations.
  • Supporting the sales and technical teams to refine processes and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Sales Estimator in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplined teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Tenacity, confidence, and resilience to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
