Escape Recruitment's client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team in Stirling. The Controls Engineer will oversee the safe and efficient delivery of Engineering Department scopes and responsibilities across their plant and associated assets. This includes site controls maintenance and upgrades, delivery of electrical/controls projects, managing PLC & SCADA software, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices, and assisting operations in process optimisation.

The Role

Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and site EAWR regulations.
Develop project scopes and manage Front End Loading processes.
Field manage the safe delivery of designated capital projects, including managing contractors and producing risk assessments.
Develop project delivery schedules and cost forecasts.
Maintain PLC & SCADA software, version control, and backup strategies.
Manage site fiber communication network.
Develop and manage site electrical and controls obsolescence strategy.
Serve as the single point lead for third-party contractors.
Act as a site controls specialist
Partake in the site electrical on-call rota.The Candidate

Recognised Electrical/Controls Apprenticeship with HNC.
Practical project experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Competent in obligations under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
Understanding of Ladder Logic and fault finding on electrical control systems.
Experience with electrical schematics and basic design.
NEBOSH GC Level 3 certification would be beneficial.
Ability to initiate and drive safety improvements.
Experience with CMMS, preferably Avantis.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Innovation mindset.
Adaptability to changing environments.
