Acme Fresh Market Catering & Event Planning Sales & Marketing Specialist

Are you a sales enthusiast with a passion for the catering industry? We are seeking a dynamic **Catering Sales & Marketing Specialist** who thrives on the thrill of the sale. From making cold calls to nurturing lasting relationships, we want someone who is eager to close deals and exceed sales targets.

This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and works closely with the Director of Catering and Catering Event Planners. This sales position will keep you out in the field meeting with potential clients. There will be some opportunity for remote work as well as a consistent schedule in our Catering Office (3235 Manchester Road – located within the Portage Lakes Acme Fresh Market).

Acme Fresh Market Catering specializes in events serving between 30 and 150 people and is a preferred caterer at most local venues, including the Akron Art Museum, Stan Hywet and Hale Farm. We execute all types of catering – from boxed lunches to black tie weddings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate new leads and convert them into sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies using Canva to create compelling menus, emails, flyers, and other promotional materials.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals, with a focus on generating revenue above our target amount.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Expertise in Canva for designing high-quality marketing materials.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience.
  • Attractive commission structure for sales generated beyond our target.
