Areas include: Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Nelson and Colne. About the role The teacher role involves teaching groups of children with additional needs such as ASD, PMLD, MLD and Social, emotional and mental health needs. You will hold substantial subject knowledge and will be able to inspire and nurture pupils to a higher level of learning. You will also be responsible for organising the supporting staff in the classroom. Your daily routine will involve continuously adapting and working alongside pupils to make their time in school as beneficial and productive as possible. Your main objective will be to support these pupils with this, as well as making sure they are not displaying any triggers or any signs of unease. Adaptability, patience and an resilient attitude will be key to success in this role. Our main aim is to offer the best possible quality of learning to pupils. About the school They support diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours. We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who with additional experience and training may eventually become full time or even supply staff members.
