A Rough Layout Artist’s job is to translate 2D storyboards into 3D production. In doing so, setting a blueprint for the downstream departments whilst creating the cinematography of the film. You will create 3D sequences of shots through cameras, character staging and blocking that help tell the story and push the emotional impact of a scene.
Responsible for quality checking your shots ensuring that you are using the latest assets and shot setups; May need to model and texture rough temporary assets when necessary.
6+ years of experience in Previs and/or Layout in feature films.
Some skills in modelling, basic texturing, FX, lighting, and editing may be required from time to time.
Creative problem solver and good attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining high quality results.
