About the Opportunity:

Global FP&A Manager / Finance Business Partner:

David Zwirner is looking for a skilled and proactive Global FP&A Manager/Finance Business Partner to join the gallery's growing strategic finance arm. Reporting directly to the Global Finance Director and working closely with the CFO and Business Intelligence team, this position will play a crucial role in the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis of the gallery.

In this role, you will apply your technical FP&A skills and best practices to our dynamic and fast-paced global business, working closely with stakeholders across the cross-disciplinary teams of our international art gallery in order to deliver timely and valuable financial insights for decision making purposes. This position will suit a self-starter who is at ease working across various different systems and with heterogeneous metrics in order to analyze and make sense of complex financial data. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who is able to adjust their presentations to be meaningful and impactful for team members of all disciplines and financial literacy levels.

What you'll do:
  • Work with the Finance Director to manage the annual and project-specific budgeting processes at the gallery, closely monitoring budgeted versus actual expenditure and liaising with other departments as necessary to explain variances and add meaningful context to results;
  • Produce and maintain dynamic and accurate forecasting models for the various gallery locations, exhibitions and art fairs and provide insights and support to the Finance Director and CFO around financial modeling and profitability reporting;
  • Support the strategic planning and forecasting needs of senior management and the C-suite through the provision of ad hoc financial reports and analysis;
  • Assist in the preparation of regular management reporting (overall P&L variance analysis, including Sales and OpEx reporting by Channel and Department)
  • Work with the Finance Director to develop new Business Partnering support services for the sales team and other departments;
  • Work closely with the accounting operations team in order to ensure that financial data is being captured in line with the strategic finance reporting and analysis needs of the gallery;
  • Assist the Finance Director in managing financial reports for strategic partners, including the preparation, analysis and reconciliation of quarterly commission, artist and consignment statements;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial dashboards and KPIs aligned with the gallery's overall strategic goals;
  • Work closely with the BI team and leverage technological solutions in order to continuously improve, automate and streamline the Strategic Finance functions and processes
What we would like you to have:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accountancy, Finance, or related degree
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and financial modeling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams and senior management
  • Experience with Sage Intacct suite of tools would be beneficial
