As the company continues to expand, it seeks a Commercial Director to lead the Commercial function of the group and as a member of the Senior Leadership.

The Commercial Director will have direct leadership responsibility for the Commercial team, which includes; Trading, Procurement and Pricing. This role will work in conjunction with the CEO and CFO to define and execute the short- and long-term strategies and goals of the Group.

Trading
Develop and manage the execution, and delivery of the trading strategy for the Group,
Work with the revenue stream directors to ensure the trading strategy meets the ongoing business requirements
This includes all areas of procurement in particular raw materials and retail goods
Works with the procurement team and stakeholders to improve business performance and processes

Develop and manage the execution and delivery of the Group’ pricing and costing strategies, including agreeing pricing policies with the revenue stream directors


Cross Commercial functional responsibilities
Delivers accurate forecasting and reporting for all areas for the Board of Directors and relevant stakeholders to drive business performance
Develop and implement SOPs for the commercial function
Develop KPIs for the commercial functions to drive continuous improvement and ongoing business development in the industry
Provide ongoing market trends and competitor activity feedback to consistently inform the development of the commercial operation and the wider business
Act as an escalation point for complex commercial issues and raise key commercial issues with the Board if required

Highly numerate with strong data comprehension skills
Demonstrable of evidence of experience and success in complex multifunctional, fast moving commercial environments
Significant commercial experience including trading, purchasing and procurement and pricing
Proven track record of delivering noteworthy contribution to business commercial functions and strategies, on a large and complex scale
Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining positive working relationships as a Senior level, including the ability to negotiate and to influence the customer commercial agenda.

Strong team building, motivation, and leadership abilities
Well-developed coaching and leadership skills
Flexible approach to support operational and commercial teams
