Who we are looking for

A Build and Release Coordinator, who will support the department, in progressing planning releases through route to live channels, until fully deployed to our production environments.

Joining our Site Services Trading and Tools department, you will work on our flagship sports product, which is a full stack team where the core skills are Typescript, JavaScript and Golang.

All systems and services within Site Services Trading and Tools are housed on a Linux operating system, we use custom-built CI and CD pipelines to deliver 100’s of releases to production each day.

With a solid foundation in software delivery, your technical knowledge, people skills and passion for software development will be invaluable to the success of the team. The day-to-day work is interesting, challenging and fast paced amidst a hardworking and delivery focused company ethos.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, of both technical and non-technical subjects.
  • Good personal organisation and planning skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical issues.
  • Process orientated with good timekeeping skills.
  • Solid analytical and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with the ability to think clearly and act quickly.
  • Ability to manage parallel work streams and be comfortable with context switching.
  • Proactive in identifying areas of improvement within current processes and driving change.
  • Experience with Git or other modern source control system.
  • Knowledge of Splunk, Elk, Grafana, Jenkins and Jira.

Main Responsibilities

  • Managing code repositories and automated build systems.
  • Owning the application release processes, including versioning and release tickets.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure releases are prioritised and scheduled.
  • Updating stakeholders on the status of all releases.
  • Acting as a first line support for issues experienced across our internal UAT environments.
  • Ensuring Git branches are kept in a good state, allowing smooth transition of production code through the Git workflow.
  • Improving process and release activities to ensure that the activity of planning and releasing software improves over time.
