We strongly encourage applications from people from diverse backgrounds including gender, identity, race, age, class, and ethnicity.The PostHR Services is responsible for a range of people management activity across the University and brings together four teams: Recruitment & Resourcing; Employee Lifecycle; Payroll & Pensions; and HR Systems & Data.This role will be responsible for providing advice, guidance and support on a range of employee related lifecycle processes and recruitment activity.The successful candidate should have demonstrable experience in supporting employee lifecycle/recruitment processes and will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement activities to ensure our processes are customer focussed, efficient and where possible aligned with relevant HR Systems.This role is “hands on”, delivery focussed and offers a great opportunity to shape the way we do things.Description of DutiesProvide advice, guidance and administrative support across the full range of employee lifecycle processes and terms and conditions of employmentManage the end-to-end recruitment process via the e-recruitment system including providing advice and guidance on the application of recruitment policies and processesRespond professionally and efficiently to all candidate queriesTo prepare, check and issue contracts of employmentTo ensure employee data is accurately recorded within the HR/Payroll System in advance of monthly deadlinesTo prepare employee related data reports from a range of systems to support HR ServicesTo manage queries and responses received into the team via phone, email or face to face and provide guidance on processes and policiesAssisting with UKVI compliance regulationsContribute and/or facilitate continuous improvement activity within HR Services to review policies/processes to ensure they are efficient, intuitive and responsiveWork closely and effectively with the wider HR Services teamManage or participate in ad-hoc HR related projects as agreed with HR Services Manager or Director or HR ServicesAny other duties appropriate to the grade of the postEssential CriteriaEducated to HND level or equivalent professional experienceExperience of employee lifecycle/recruitment and resourcing processesExperience of preparing offers of employmentExperience of responding to customer enquiries and of providing advice, guidance and support on the interpretation of HR related policies, processes, and practicesExperience of developing responsive, intuitive administrative processesExperience of using a HR system and/or recruitment systemKnowledge of, and competence using, Microsoft Excel, digital technologies such as SharePoint, Adobe ProAbility to work independently as well as part of a team and able to motivate colleaguesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlinesDesirable CriteriaExperience of working in an HR environment within Higher EducationExperience of SAPExperience of TalentlinkFor a full description of duties and essential/desirable criteria please click the apply button, which will take you directly to the University Website.
