NURSERY ROOM MANAGER Location: Tops Exeter, Exeter, Devon Pay rate: Up to £14.04 per hour Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week/ Full Time ABOUT THE ROLE Our Room Manager looks after the educational and social development of babies and young children up to the age of five. Their primary duties include providing children with a safe environment to learn, helping them to develop basic social and behavioural skills and engaging them in age-appropriate play activities. In joining us, you’ll also become part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth and kindness to all those who work in our Nurseries. Owlets is a purpose built nursery that is Ofsted registered for up to 104 children, from 3 months to five years. The Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm for 50 weeks of the year (closed for 2 weeks over the Christmas period). ABOUT YOU A minimum of a Level 3 in Early Years care and Education is essential. Some of the primary skills we are looking for will be someone will include:
  • Commitment in working with our children, working in the Early Years sector can be as intensive as it is rewarding so you must have a passion for child development and dedicating to caring.
  • Creative skills and imagination to provide educational activities to children that can ensure the child is happy and learning in a rewarding environment.
  • Building relationships, our children thrive in our settings when they have strong bonds and healthy relationship with Nursery Practitioners.
  • Personal skills – to be personable and approachable with children’s parents, as our parent relationships are vital to helping you to understand how to keep children happy and supported, both in nursery and home life.
