In recent years, the TVS SCS defence business has expanded and now plays a key role in some of the UK’s largest Defence programmes.
To support further growth the business is looking for an experienced and well-rounded Business Development Manager (BDM) who has a leaning towards solution design.
As a BDM, you will be responsible for growing profit for the business, in obtaining new business opportunities and selling our class leading supply chain capabilities, primarily through a solution approach, to the Defence sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within Defence Prime contractors to promote our high-quality service.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy targeting Primes, to drive revenue growth for the company.
Work collaboratively with the Business Solutions and Implementation team on Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
Collaborate with the implementation and operational teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers.
Work closely with the marketing team to create campaigns to generate leads and increase brand awareness.
Perform market analyses, seeking out trends and reviewing customer needs, to identify new opportunities and drive business growth.
Accurately record sales activities and customer interactions to the CRM system.
Attend social and networking events to build the company presence and stay up to date on industry trends
Clear and confident communicator and strong language skills with the ability to explain scenarios in a way that is easily understood by users of all levels
Ability to establish and meet deadlines and commitments in a high-pressure environment – working closely with wider-business SMEs
