Job Description

A tier-1 high-frequency trading company is seeking to hire a FIX Onboarding Project Manager in London.

As a FIX Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting a diverse range of projects related to exchange/broker technology upgrades, internal business and technology changes, and various high-priority initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with external business partners to comprehend the nature and scope of upcoming upgrades, managing associated projects from initiation to completion.
  • Serve as a liaison between exchanges/brokers and internal Jump teams, ensuring successful management and timely delivery of all technology upgrades/changes.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Development, Trade Desk, Networking, Risk, Clearing, Legal, Compliance) to initiate, monitor, and report project progress, with a primary focus on the necessary software/hardware elements.
  • Lead internal Business Development project meetings to facilitate collaboration across multiple teams for project success.
  • Chair internal change control meetings to discuss technology upgrades, timelines, and their impact on the business.
  • Coordinate weekend testing efforts across internal teams (Development, Trade Desk, Networking) in support of exchange/broker technology upgrades/changes.
  • Continuously enhance existing processes to drive efficiency and reduce time to market; actively seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate extensively both internally and externally, providing project agendas, detailed notes, action items, and status updates to ensure intra/inter-regional awareness and successful project delivery.
  • Support ongoing initiatives to develop quantitative business intelligence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business/Finance/Computer Science with high academic achievements.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and technology.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in an operational/technology project management role within a relevant organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects concurrently to successful completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both technical and business content.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to getting things done.
  • Desire to develop a technical skillset, including the use of in-house software and tools.
  • Reliable and predictable availability.
