They are now looking for a QC Technician to join the team. You will be assisting the QC and workroom manager with a variety of tasks including day to day quality checks and communication with the relevant departments.

The successful candidate will ideally have a fashion related degree or relevant qualification and at least 2 years’ experience working in fashion/bridal wear. You will require an understanding of how to measure garments and patterns. Knowledge of understanding patterns is desirable but not required.

QC Technician - Main duties-

  • Measuring dresses/accessories both on the stand and flat, ensuring it is within tolerance and in line with the ease. This will also include checking against the pattern.
  • Visually checking dresses/accessories against our checklists and documenting any failures. Feedback will need to be communicated to the relevant in-house machinist/outworker.
  • Preparing and documenting all notes and pictures on our system.
  • Pack dresses ready for dispatch.
  • Assist on reports including rework’s, QC failure feedback, workroom performance.
  • Producing dispatch notes where required.
  • Communicate any re-occurring issues with styles/patterns to Quality and Workroom manager and assist in finding solutions.
  • Organise patterns and toiles.

QC Technician - Skills and experience required-

  • Fashion or Textile related degree or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in fashion/bridal wear.
  • Understanding on measuring garments and patterns.
  • Knowledge of altering patterns is preferrable. Experience working with Gerber is advantage.
  • Ability to sew and understand construction techniques.
  • A keen interest in luxury womenswear/bridalwear.
  • Highly organised and proactive.
  • Ability to use Microsoft programmes and our internal system.
  • Flexible working approach and able to adapt to the needs of the team.
