Working rotating 12 hours days and nights. Salary is dependent on experience, plus excellent company benefits to include private health care and company contributory pension scheme.
The Role – Site Technician
* Supporting our Resident Site Engineers, carrying out automated materials handling equipment servicing, in accordance with quality standards.
* Electrical and mechanical breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, to include cranes; conveyors; vertical lifts; monorail system and a deep freeze high bay.
* Working in a cold environment (-18 degrees)
* Undertake repairs in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
* To Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
* To always ensure quality of output and adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.
* Working at heights.
* Working within a team of Engineers, you will represent the company in a professional manner and always strive for excellence and best practice in all tasks undertaken.
The Person – Site Technician
* You will be an Engineering Site Technician, with a good level of competence in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* An Apprentice trained Mechanical / Electrical or Controls Engineer, with a minimum Level 2 Qualification.
* You must have GCSEs Grade C or above in Maths, English and Science.
* Able or willing to work at heights.
* This is a customer facing role, so you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Able to adapt to new and changing demands and situations.
* Able to share knowledge with others proactively and always show integrity.
Ideal Experience
* Previous controls experience would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Previous experience of working with automation / in an automated warehouse.
* Competent and able to do Electrical / Mechanical servicing on a variety of machinery.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement.
* Health and Safety (ISO 45001) would also be desirable for this role.
