Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Location: Haringey Start Date: June/July 2024 Contract Type: Maternity Cover Are you passionate about safeguarding and child protection? This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young girls, providing them with a safe and supportive learning environment. Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Job Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for safeguarding and child protection issues. Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to promote a safe environment. Lead on all aspects of safeguarding, including training and policy development. Ensure all safeguarding records are accurate and up-to-date. Conduct regular audits and reviews of safeguarding practices. Provide support and guidance to students and staff on safeguarding matters. Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Job Requirements: Previous experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead or similar role. Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Enhanced DBS check on the update service. Commitment to continuous professional development.
