Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Analyst
This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
As a Barclays Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) Analyst you will have an exciting chance to be a part of a Team that includes subject matter experts including fundamental analysts, climate scientists and former senior policy advisors. The Team is responsible for providing analysis and deep dives into sector themes and market strategy and collaborates with our research analysts across all departments to identify material ESG issues to asset classes, sectors and companies under coverage.

Leveraging subject matter expertise to partner and collaborate with research analysts across asset classes, co-publishing with research teams across all asset classes globally
• You will be responsible for presenting views to key clients via meetings, phone calls and conferences
• Being responsible for servicing Barclays’ clients through bespoke projects
Excellent analytical, verbal, written, project management, and presentation skills
• Previous experience of financial analysis, either on the Strategy or Fundamental side
• Interest in financial and policy implications of ESG
• Ability and willingness to distill and explain complex sustainability topics
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Enthusiasm, energy, willingness to work in a global, fast-paced environment
• Competency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• The ability to demonstrate both accuracy and timeliness and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
