Director of Operations

TalentPool Supply Chain are exclusively partnered with a fast growing, B-Corp F&D manufacturing business to hire an Operations Director, based in East London.
The Operations Director will oversee end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations, managing production, engineering, warehousing, and health & safety. You will lead and manage a team of 30+ employees across the manufacturing facility and warehouse operations, ensuring the production schedule and business objectives are met. The role also focuses on cost-effective solutions, environmental sustainability, and long-term capacity planning.
Lead all operational activities (production, supply chain, and warehousing) for a fast-growing food and drink manufacturing brand
Experience in leading multi shift production and potential changes in production lines and facilities.
Ensure compliance with BRC standards, maintaining AA rating and health & safety regulations
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve systems – lean manufacturing implementation experience.
Report to the board on progress towards business goals
Restructure business activities to increase speed and efficiency
Implement lean management to reduce stock holding and optimise capital
Research cost-saving opportunities across the business
Develop leadership and coaching programmes to enhance team effectiveness
Oversee order fulfilment and production scheduling
Ensure inventory management, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance
Essential to have senior level experience within onsite food and/or drink manufacturing and supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of production, engineering, and supply chain
• Strategic thinker with strong numerical and commercial focus
• Excellent people management and leadership skills
• Experience in budgeting and driving company wide KPIs
• Strong background in BRC standards, health & safety, and environmental management
• Strong commercial awareness and business improvement mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management skills – from warehouse, production through to the senior board and investors.
