Job Description

We are excited to announce that we are on the lookout for an experienced Operations Director to join the team at MAKE, one of the UK’s fastest-growing digital marketing agencies.

This pivotal role involves close collaboration with our founders and other key members of the leadership team, crafting and executing the operational blueprint that aligns seamlessly with our ambitious business objectives and enhances our efficiency and growth.

The role:

As our Operations Director, you'll lead the strategic planning and execution of operational processes, ensuring our operations are scalable, agile, and capable of supporting our rapid growth. Your leadership will be crucial in optimising our agency's workflow, implementing new systems, and driving continuous improvement across all facets of our operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and refinement of MAKE’s operational vision, ensuring it supports and enhances our strategic goals.
  • Evaluate and enhance our operational structures to ensure they are equipped to support business growth and adapt to changes in the digital market.
  • Develop our wider team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the selection and implementation of agency processes & solutions to streamline workflows, improve reporting, and enrich the client experience.
  • Look at where the skill gaps are within the agency and create a business case for new hires based on profitability and commercial viability.
  • Uphold and elevate our standards of service delivery, ensuring MAKE remains a trusted and preferred partner in the digital marketing space.
  • Strategise and manage the expansion of our digital infrastructure to keep pace with industry advancements and client expectations.

Profitability and Efficiency Enhancements:

  • Strategic Development of Profitable Services: Lead the development of tailored products and services through in-depth billing data analysis, aiming to surpass profitability benchmarks. Engage actively in identifying new opportunities, refining service offerings, and adjusting pricing strategies to boost financial outcomes.
  • Optimisation of Profitability Systems: Champion the adoption and effective utilisation of advanced systems across all teams to enhance profitability. Key initiatives include the deployment of time tracking software to closely monitor project timelines and resource deployment, ensuring each project contributes positively to the agency's financial well-being.
  • Innovative Systems Integration for Enhanced Efficiency: Spearhead the integration of state-of-the-art systems to revolutionise the agency's approach to project quoting and resource allocation. By leveraging precise analytics on time tracking data, profit targets, and resource availability, ensure that each project is competitively priced and financially viable, enhancing overall agency efficiency and profitability.
