Job Description
Alamiyah School are looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable teacher of the Arabic Language to develop the bilingual aspect of the School. The teacher will be required to work in the Early Years Class, covering children age 3-6 years and the Primary Class covering pupils of age 7-11 years. The role will require you to work closely with the team to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of the children.

The successful candidate will be passionate about the Arabic Language with an excellent command of both, spoken and written language and have a good working knowledge of Arabic Grammar. They must be fluent in Modern Standard Arabic or Classical Arabic, Fus-Ha and be able to speak with both staff and children in Arabic at all times during the school day.

The candidate will enjoy working with children and being part of a team in an Islamic Montessori School setting, and contribute to this ethos and wider school life. Working with children, the candidate will be an exemplary role model and teacher who is both vigilant and responsive to the needs of the children at all times. In addition to this, the successful candidate must have the ability to relate well to parents, children and other members of staff and be able to understand and speak the English Language well.

Main Duties:
Providing learning opportunities and having meaningful and positive interactions with children whilst speaking only Modern Standard Arabic (or Fus-Ha), development of the Arabic Montessori Curriculum, resources and activities, planning, observation and assessment of learning, maintaining progress records, delivery of 1-1 and small group lessons, leading small group circle times and maintaining a tidy and organized Montessori learning environment
