Day Rate: £350-£400 DOE.

Finatal is partnered with a VC backed professional services firm who are looking for an interim financial controller to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to get stuck into a mission-centric, aspirational business with multiple entities, including one that’s FCA regulated.

This role reports into the VP Finance and works closely with our Finance Assistant and functional leads across the business. Their core remit will be to build accurate and timely financial reporting that enables value-add FP&A, ensures their financial health and supports our growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

● Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with

accounting standards (GAAP)

● Supervising and approving month end journals

● Ensuring compliance with tax laws and corporate governance standards including tax returns

and companies house filings

● Coordinating our annual audits, including controls documentation, preparing TBs and

managing the audit process

● Supporting the VP Finance with the production of FP&A, financial analysis and financial

modelling

● Optimising cash flow through effective working capital management, including monitoring

receivables, payables, and inventory

● Working with external stakeholders including bank relationship managers, trustees, actuaries

and auditors

● Supporting the Finance Assistant with managing day-to-day financial operations including

accounts payable and receivable

Requirements

● Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting

knowledge

● Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably within a regulated or multi-entity D2C

business

● Comfortable using Xero

● Excellent communication skills

● High level of accuracy and attention to detail

● Experience managing audits
