Head of Partner Engagement & Projects
Location – London - Manchester - Hybrid working model.

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Partner Engagement & Projects to lead the delivery of DCC’s funded innovation projects programme and related partner engagement activity. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of DCC’s work to demonstrate the value of the smart metering network in supporting GB’s transition to net zero.
The successful candidate will have experience of the energy sector, likely from a policy/strategy/innovation background and be highly competent at managing funded projects in a complex regulatory environment.
The role holder will be proactive in identifying project opportunities that align with DCC’s strategic agenda and a natural networker, being able to build and maintain a network of key project partners which could translate into new service opportunities for the DCC.
As our Head of Partner Engagement & Projects, you will: 
Lead the DCC’s funded projects programme, maintaining a pipeline of projects which support DCC’s Business Development Plan.
Engage bilaterally with project Partners to understand their requirements of the DCC and proactively identify opportunities to support the delivery of new value-added services.
Collaborate across other DCC teams and functions, including Customer Experience, Strategy and Regulation, CTO, Commercial, Operations, Corporate Affairs to ensure alignment across DCC.
Support the Partnerships Director in rolling out a CRM and accompanying reporting framework for partner and project opportunities across the DCC and produce regular reports for presentation to the DCC ExCo and Board.
Work closely with the Partnerships Project Manager to ensure robust processes are in place, including, but not limited to tracking and monitoring all DCC projects; completing high quality bid submissions; undertaking due diligence of project partners; Experience in working on publicly funded innovation projects, preferably in the energy sector.
Excellent written and communication skills and the ability to effectively analyse complex policy/regulatory and market issues.
A strong commercial antenna – ensuring opportunities for the DCC and Partners are grounded in commercial reality and appropriately prioritised.
A strong understanding of the energy and adjacent technology and utility markets and trends, including net zero challenges and opportunities.
Proven ability to cope with ambiguity while maintaining focus, and ability to be flexible in response to changing or emerging business needs or direction.
