ABOUT US
Sunday Treat is looking for a talented, driven and ambitious Producer to join its growing team. We produce and make video content for social, online and broadcast for a wealth of clients across consumer and business facing brands. Our projects range from small scale virtual set-ups to full-scale narrative television commercials and everything in between.
In the past year we’ve produced launch content for brand new Canon cameras, produced B2B content for Google and LinkedIn, influencer-led work for brands like Revolut & Gousto and VOD broadcast commercials for online, Sky and ITVX.
We find the fun, injecting elements of humour and candour into every project we do both in terms of final output and the process of getting there.
About You
We’re looking for people who are passionate about producing, driving projects and care about detail, logistics and precision. Passion and pride in what you do and a discernible talent for bringing people together is essential.
Experience of the video production industry through freelance work or full-time positions is essential. You’ll need to be across all aspects of production and have complete oversight of the pre-production process from casting, crewing, locations, legal, logistics and anything else required for production.
Being business savvy is a big part of this role as you will be directly involved in developing client relationships, nurturing our freelancer network, managing budgets and profit margins.
Creative output is key and you will be required to assist and lead on the pitching process, driving creative concepts and Produce/Directing on smaller-scale projects.
The ability to think on your feet and be left to independent decision making in the face of demanding clients will be crucial in this reactive and fast-paced production environment. Sunday Treat prides itself on the ability to bounce between a 3-person social film one week to producing a 35-person television commercial the next. Applicants should relish this challenge and be prepared to handle projects at all ends of the spectrum.
A background in video/tv/film production will be necessary but agency/creative experience whilst highly desirable is not essential.
We have a workspace in White City, London which you would be required to work from twice a week with the remaining time spent home working or attending shoots. Office days change depending on the needs of our shoots. Ideally applicants would be within commuting distance of London.
Growth is an important value for Sunday Treat. This role would be perfect for someone who is ready to take a leap into the next stage of their career; there will be lots of learning on the job and you will be heavily supported by senior team-members to help you grow and succeed within the role.
Role and responsibilities
- Complete autonomy for the organisation, logistics, budgeting and communications around video production projects from single-operator to full crew TVC.
- Understanding of project budgets and the ability to meet profit margins across projects.
- Passionate about growing the production department and nurturing new talent through the facilitation of work-experience placements.
- Commitment to the role with a view to build your own long-term vision of the department alongside the strategic goals of Sunday Treat.
- Willingness to attend all required shoots in and around London, the UK and the world
- Assisting the creative department in writing creative treatments and proposals and leading shoots as a producer/director where required.
- Ability to be a creative lead on a project and lead it through conception, pre-production and into the edit.
- Create post-production timelines for edits as they enter the edit stage.
- Liaise with the Sunday Treat post-production team for edits
ESSENTIAL
- Full and comprehensive knowledge of the production process on a technical and creative level, from conception and production through to editing and delivery.
- 2-3 years in a production role
- Experience handling and budgeting £50k projects.
- Strong negotiation skills for acquiring the best reasonable costs from all vendors and suppliers.
- Ability to work across Google Workspace, Slack, Monday.com and Quickbooks.
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills.
- Live within commuting distance of White City, London
- Have a strong visual eye with basic technical knowledge of camera-work and editing.
- Be a proactive problem solver and lover of spreadsheets and data.
- Take pride in the presentation and organisation of your files, paperwork, processes, spreadsheets and cleanly formatted documentation. If this is you, you will find your people at Sunday Treat.
- Eagerness to work across different departments and briefs when required.
- Be a confident Mac user.
DESIRABLE
- A black book of freelance contacts to add to our existing database is a plus.
- Agency experience and a strong interest and passion for comedy is highly desirable.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Have an interest in content creation for our social media channels.
- Have an interest and skill for photography for BTS and company content.
- Knowledge and skill in basic camera operating.
- Experience and knowledge of working with Sony FX, FS and Alpha series cameras.
Benefits
- Flexible WFH policy with 2 x mandatory office days per week.
- Access to a M1 Macbook Air company laptop.
- Option to take advantage of the government Bike2Work scheme.
- 34 days holiday including 8 public holiday and 3 day Christmas closure.
- Access to an upskilling budget.
- Quarterly paid-for company treats, events and regular socialising.
- Internal employee reward scheme.
- Company pension scheme
- Sunday Treat is a climate-friendly workforce through its carbon-offsetting partner, Ecologi.
