ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Bogie final inspection process; ensuring bogies are correct prior to despatch Goods inwards bogie inspection, as required Preparation of documentation Reporting quality issues raised during inspection to Production Management and the Production Engineering Manager Involvement with improving inspection and testing methods Preparing quality control reports/documentation Involvement in internal audits and first article inspections ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Ability to understand/interpret manufacturing documents e.g. engineering drawings Experience of working in a engineering/production environment Good product knowledge Good problem solving and logic skills Ability to communicate with internal and external customers Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Good IT/Systems skills Rail industry knowledge and experience DESIRABLE CRITERIA: minimum two years’ experience in a quality position Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline
