In this role, you will lead and manage a team of social workers and professionals, delivering key statutory services to safeguard and support children, young people, and families. This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact while earning a competitive hourly rate. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of statutory social care services. Provide expert advice on safeguarding, child protection, and related matters. Deputise for the Operational Manager as required. Oversee staff training, development, and performance management. Utilize performance data to drive improvements in service delivery. Manage the team's budget efficiently and ensure resources are allocated appropriately. Work closely with partner agencies to improve outcomes for children. Handle complex court proceedings and case audits. Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing staff development.Qualifications and Experience: Diploma in Social Work (CQSW) or equivalent, with ongoing professional development. Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience as a social worker. HCPC registration is essential. Extensive experience in child protection, complex case management, and court proceedings.Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.Essential Requirements: Flexibility to travel across Dorset. Ability to work outside standard office hours as needed.
