Job Purpose

The Management Accountant is a crucial role for our Wincanton operations. Sitting as part of the Site Leadership Team, you will manage the day-to-day finance operations, preparing monthly accounts and driving our forecasting and budgeting.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly accounts including performance, forecasting and reconciliations
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register and monitoring of capital additions
  • Preparation and committing of monthly VAT, sales and intrastat within external deadlines
  • Monitor supplier claims and participate in RCA meetings as required
  • Assist departmental managers with analysis on financials, raw materials, labour and new product launches
  • Annual and other cyclical auditing as and when required
  • Line management of the Finance Administrator
Skills and requirements
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Previous accounting experience is essential
  • Qualified or part qualified within a relevant professional qualification
  • Great eye for detail
  • Able to work independently and as a team
