They are responsible for the subject matter expert delivery teams and 3rd parties who perform the delivery of quality products.

They work closely with the Business Partnering and Portfolio Management team, Data and Analytics team, and Technology Operations team to develop / configure platforms to ensure solutions are implemented, operated, supported and maintained securely and efficiently. Delivery for the business of products on time, to quality and cost and ensuring architectural decisions that will impact in the longer term. They are responsible for managing and communicating maintenance and release schedules, liaising with project and business teams when these as required.

Manage the delivery team and external resources to ensure that solutions are delivered and supported to meet business requirements, through coaching, mentoring and monitoring of performance to ensure they are able to perform to the best of their ability. Ensure that Agile practices are being taught, implemented and followed across all squads
Support the bid and demand pipeline process to ensure that high level solution designs in bids & CI projects are deliverable, affordable and sufficient resource availability to deliver to agreed timelines
Ensure projects and platform releases, within the platform family, are appropriately managed working closely with the business product owner and supported/co-ordinated with other deployments, so they are delivered, ensuring minimal interference to ongoing business operations, to budget and within agreed time constraints
Ensure completed products meet quality requirements through adequate testing and adequate trained resourcing to support operationally within Service Level Agreements to customers satisfaction. Applying Agile practices and methods
Anticipate and communicate risks, as appropriate
Monitor performance across your platform family, reporting and taking remedial action when required, and recommending on changes to improve performance aligned to Maximus UK Technology operational standards and governance eg CAB and other ITIL processes
Work with Procurement, Finance, leadership teams and peers to maintain budget processes for your team and serving as the primary platform supplier contract manager and maintaining vendor partnerships for your platform family

Proven track record with various software platforms and applications able to demonstrate a good understanding of platform concepts and value proposition
Experience in Product Management and understanding of the product approach
Proven track record of managing platform-based services from a technical and commercial perspective
Proven experience of managing business applications, low-code or traditional development environments and a structured approach to testing and software deployment
Demonstrable knowledge of project management planning and governance using Agile or traditional (Waterfall) methodologies
Proven ability of using core Microsoft Office products
Experienced line manager of technical teams, coaching, training and supervision
Successful at managing Vendors to drive partnerships and manage performance

Agile Accreditation
Knowledge of business processes and project delivery in wellbeing, healthcare or government outsourced projects
Successful stakeholder management, developing positive working relationships with technical stakeholders, business partners, product owners and other teams to work through challenging scenarios and implement solutions
Making UX, security and operational performance a priority across all products and services
Proficient in identifying and prioritising needs, self-managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Good organisational skills and time management of self and others, including the ability to work quickly and efficiently, within tight deadlines
