We are currently recruiting for a Technical Coordinator to join our Waste Pumping Team at Camberley Sewage Treatment Works. This is an exciting predominately field-based role, working as part of a close and supportive Field Operations team overseeing 500 waste pumping stations. You will be focused on maintaining and improving pumping stations infrastructure, to ensure our assets operate 24/7. The role will also require you to manage smaller projects and provide support to the team on larger-scale projects. You will be reliable for designing complex jobs for works at our pumping stations and ensuring any prerequisites are in place to allow work to be completed by the Field Technicians. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them, as well as being disciplined and have the desire to learn from those around them and have a can-do attitude. This role can be demanding at times but very rewarding too. What you’ll be doing as the Technical Co-ordinator Using technical expertise and data captured from the field to design operationally critical jobs. Highlighting key operational risks across the area and presenting these to obtain funding. Maintaining the availability of plant and equipment and optimising pumping station performance. Developing strong collaborative relationships with other internal and external stakeholders. Providing expert advice on technical issues and generating solutions to operational risks. Carrying out data analysis on pumping stations to recognise trends and drive continuous improvement. Having a mechanical/electrical apprenticeship or experience preferred. Obtaining quotes, order materials, and third-party services through our framework contractors. Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are managed correctly, through a safe system of work approval, reviewing RAMS, permitting, and site audits. Base Location: Camberley STW. Working Pattern or hours: 36 Hours Monday-Friday 7:30 -15:30 Plus the inclusion onto a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment. What should you bring to the role? Demonstrate good business/stakeholder awareness, together with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with your field-based colleagues and key stakeholders. Have previous experience in technical job design and/or prerequisite management within a utility company. Possess strong IT literacy skills as all work is managed through an SAP system and user training for this and other standard software systems will be provided. Take care of yourself and others, we have a zero-compromise approach to Health & Safety and all of our employees must go home safe and well at the end of each day. What’s in it for you? Competitive salary offering up to £50,000 per annum subject to your level of experience and skills. Car allowance worth approximately £4500 per annum. Out-of-hours co-ordinator payments which are worth approximately £2500 per annum. Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays) Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution. Personal Medical Assessments – Open to all once a year.
