The role will be of a hybrid nature, with a combination of site (Inverness area), home and frequent travel around the Highlands & Islands region of Scotland. Please note we are unable to provide visa support on this position.

We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager to support and collaborate with our customer, Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), and their partners, in delivering their Corporate Social Value Initiatives underpinning the current significant transmission investment.
In this role you will be Hitachi Energy's local representative, supporting our customer to develop and execute the social value initiatives in close collaboration with other partners to deliver the greatest community benefit. To be successful in this role we believe you need to be an excellent communicator, having a real interest in bringing value to the local society and a proven track record for bringing social value to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. The role will be located at our local project office in SSE’s licensed area (preferably Inverness or The surrounding Scottish Highlands) and you will be part of the Hitachi Energy project core team.
Support and collaborate with customer to develop and execute the social value initiatives which can include local community meetings, local charity events, local supplier related events, kids and/or youth related activities, collaboration with Schools, Colleges, Universities etc.
Stakeholder management
Flexible, amicable, and community-oriented approach
Local knowledge, proven track record on social responsibility activities in Scottish Highlands and Islands
Able to travel on frequent basis within Scottland to engage with project, customer, and partners, holding a clean driving licence
