Life Science People are supporting one of our major client's who is a biotechnology company pioneering new gene editing modalities using multi-kilobase edits to reach previously undruggable patient populations. The current paradigm in genetic medicine relies on developing independent therapies for each separate mutation in the patient population.
Founded by pioneers in the CRISPR field from leading institutions for gene editing research, the company is developing a first-of-its-kind RNA writing platform capable of editing thousands of diverse mutations across patients with a single product.
Job Role:
To carry out the Assembly, Testing, Cleaning and Packaging of sterile active implantable medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under microscopes, assembling electro-mechanical assemblies and finished devices in a clean- room environment using assembly equipment and systems carefully and safely
- Conduct work safely and according to Amber values
- Completing batch, and other, documents diligently and accurately thereby assuring robust
- records.
- Planning work along with supervisor.
- Maintain material stock record accuracy
- Ensuring compliance to all procedures and the quality management system.
- In-process inspection of own work and independent verification and testing of other’s work.
- Using assembly equipment and systems.
- Active involvement with process and product development alongside the R&D team.
- Health and safety: to take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Performing production tasks as required by the Production manager
Qualifications:
- Education: Good secondary education.
- Ideally to have completed an electro-mechanical apprenticeship or similar higher education
- award in this or an associated area e.g., HNC, HND or Level 3 NVQ in a relevant area.
- Experience of high quality and high precision electro-mechanical assemblies.
