Salary: £30K - £40K (DoE) + Excellent Benefits package
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our client's production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient running of the production area and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Duties:
- Working on and producing a weekly / daily production plan.
- Engaging the team to achieve production targets.
- Support and Complete return to works and other HR functions.
- Identify and highlight any process faults, errors, and non-conformities.
- Maintaining consistent satisfactory levels of housekeeping.
- Always conform with all safety standards and use of appropriate PPE.
- Setting operating standards to ensure production with consistent results that is within specification and to acceptable levels of quality.
- To understand the risks, control measures and safety devices for the equipment operated and surrounding areas.
- Undertake daily safety checks.
Qualifications:
- Ideally, City and Guilds / NVQ qualifications as a wood cutting machinist.
- Manufacturing background ideally in furniture making environment.
- Understanding of Health and Safety issues, particularly in relation to safe systems of work.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
