Our client is looking for a VAT Specialist to assist the VAT Accountant and Tax Director with the group’s VAT requirements, to resolve any system issues with the new ERP system, and establish best in practice processes, controls and documentation to maintain their low risk BRR+ rating. Key duties include: Support the VAT Accountant with the company’s VAT requirements Historic review of VAT systems and controls: Review of Company VAT treatment (inputs and outputs) Consider any improvements for controls and processes Review of VAT for standalone entity following M&A integration Shape the company’s future VAT position Update process notes to reflect the changes resulting from the new ERP (SAP S/4Hana) Introduce appropriate testing requirements Assist with resolving any SAP S/4Hana issues Review interaction with Concur expenses Knowledge and skills required: Knowledge of the UK VAT system performing at a VAT assistant manager or manager level Systems Knowledge – SAP S/4Hana and SAC, Concur preferred Strong communication skills. The Senior VAT Support will need to be able to communicate with a wide audience and be able to advise and present information clearly to ensure tax compliance and understanding in the business. Excellent organisational skills. The Senior VAT Support must be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines Attention to detail Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive.
