Populus Recruitment Solutions is working closely with one of the largest security services providers in the UK to recruit a Business Development Director to join their Fire & Security division.
The Business Development Director will develop and implement a programme of activity to identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and potential customers, build pipeline and close sales, improving awareness of of our clients Fire & Security solutions capabilities.
To maximise opportunities for new business and to lead the business development process and negotiations with the customer/ client in order to win profitable contracts.
* To source, lead and manage UK new business development opportunities for single service lines
* To support wider Mitie divisions as a single service “subject matter expert” providing commercial intelligence
* To achieve agreed financial targets
Proven experience of working successfully in a fire & security environment
* Experience of managing and participating in project teams that work, adopting project management disciplines
* Highly numerate with the ability to understand commercial negotiations
* A commercial thinker with the ability to understand and guide commercial negotiations
* In-depth experience of devising fire & security solutions for a variety of organisation types
* Senior sales role in similar industry setting
* A strong quality orientation and commitment to continuous improvement
* Must be able to put together costings for projects using Excel
