Job Description???? Material Compliance Lead
Ensure compliance with EU (RoHS, REACH, WEEE) and U.S. (TSCA) standards for local production. ???? Operational Supplier Quality Management: On/off-site management, ensuring full execution of supplier qualification and development. ???? Corrective/Preventive Actions: Drive actions with suppliers based on maturity and performance. ???? Support/Improve Supplier KPIs: Work with SCM team to enhance supplier quality performance. ???? Material Compliance Focus Initially concentrate on compliance, gradually moving into Supplier Quality. ???? Regular Reporting: Update on material compliance status, supplier risk mitigation, and facilitate supplier product development. ???? Training/Awareness: Develop and share knowledge of Material Regulations, coach on using dashboards and platforms for data retrieval. ???? Compliance Review Check local product compliances via dashboard, identify gaps, coordinate with teams (Product Management, R&D, QA, SCM) to resolve issues. ???? SOC Preparation: Prepare Statement of Conformity for customers/regulatory bodies, validate with stakeholders. ???? Supplier Quality Management Validate supplier quality systems and process quality. ???? PPAP and Surveillance: Drive supplier parts/materials approval, conduct product surveillance at manufacturing sites. ???? Quality Issue Reaction: Support rapid response to supply issues (quality, delivery, non-conformance), prepare claims. ???? Procurement Collaboration Work with Procurement to improve supplier qualification process, including training materials. ???? Supplier Assessments: Lead assessments, drive corrective/preventive actions based on supplier performance. The Successful Applicant ???? Ideal Candidate Profile: ???? Education: Degree in Science, Manufacturing, or Engineering (or HNC/HND). Lead Auditor qualification. ???? Experience: Minimum 3 years in manufacturing. Experience in material compliance and/or supplier quality management preferred. ???? Skills- Strong knowledge of SAP and BoM structures.
- Proficient in project management and reporting.
- Lean 6-Sigma Green Belt desirable.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Product Management, R&D, QA, SCM.
- Skilled in managing operational supplier quality.
- Expertise in material compliance (RoHS, REACH, WEEE, TSCA).
- Competent in supplier qualification and development processes.
- Attention to detail, accurate and disciplined.
- Aptitude for identifying gaps in compliance and resolving issues.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
- Completer-finisher with a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in regular reporting and use of Supplier Quality Management tools.
- Skilled in preparing compliance statements and handling supplier assessments.
- Ability to drive corrective and preventive actions with suppliers.
- Strong in training and raising awareness about material regulations.
- Capable of developing and sharing knowledge on material regulations.
- Skilled in coaching others on using dashboards and data retrieval platforms.
- Quick response capability to supply issues related to quality, deliveries, and non-conforming products.
- Experienced in preparing claims cases when necessary.
