MM Search are delighted to be working with our client, Zotefoams, on a HPP Business Unit Director opportunity. In this role, you will grow sales of the Zotefoams HPP businesses in new and existing accounts, geographies, and application markets. This will be achieved through end-user (OEM) and value-added channel engagement by a global sales team and supporting functions (which includes a light manufacturing foam-conversion operation in China).

Key Accountabilities

  • Management and P&L responsibility for Group Marketing and the individual ZOTEK® foams and T-FIT® insulation businesses. Operating as part of the Group Executive Team and ensuring fit and compliance within the Zotefoams organisation.
  • Provide a focal point and interface from the HPP Business Unit for operations, technical, subsidiaries and group functions.
  • Member of Group Executive Committee with significant input to strategy, full-scope executive responsibility and in particular input on commercial matters as required.
  • Provide focal point and interaction with customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies and strategic partners.
  • To agree annually revenue and cost budget with CEO, review quarterly and operate to budget.
  • To ensure department has appropriate resources, both human and equipment, to meet business needs; to develop capital cases for equipment as required, and to recruit new employees for the department as necessary and agreed.
  • To define and agree HPP and T-FIT Department objectives and to develop and review with senior department employees work programmes to achieve objectives making efficient and effective use of department resources and resolving priority issues where necessary.
  • To maintain an awareness of relevant external industry developments, and to report on same to the Board; to liaise as appropriate with external bodies.
  • To contribute to all meetings positively and actively and / or activities where your knowledge or input is required.
  • Contribute effectively to the Zotefoams business by: ensuring co-operation with colleagues structuring departmental activity and processes to deliver the requirements of other parts of the Zotefoams business live the Cultural Pillars and Zotefoams Brand Values To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Competences (Person Specification for a fully competent

job holder)

  • International sales and business development experience is essential, to include a broad and in-depth understanding of channels and routes to market at global level. Experience of a value-add distribution path with multiple end-use markets would be preferred.
  • Ability to develop and deliver strategy in a complex, multi-channel, multi-market environment.
  • Experience of developing commercial relationships with major OEM’s.
  • Excellent project and leadership skills. Commercially aware with a creative yet practical approach to problem solving, excellent judgement and a willingness to challenge current thinking.
  • Planning and organisational skills with the ability to lead, manage and motivate resources to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire HPP and T-Fit group.
  • Likely to be technically educated, with a degree (Chemistry or Engineering would be ideal). An MBA from a leading business school would also be preferred.
  • Materials company experience would be ideal, alternatively exposure to a wide variety of industrial markets.
  • Market experience from an industry governed by high compliance or regulation standards.
  • Management experience to include management level reports. Ideally management of global commercial team(s) and the ability to motivate and inspire within a diverse organisation.

Communication Skills and Representing the Organisation

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and verbal / written communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels inside and outside of the organisation to facilitate the cross-fertilisation of ideas and to influence decision makers.
  • Understanding and support of operations and of working within a Group / matrix style company.

This role is a hybrid role however, there is on-site requirements based in Croydon.
