Henderson Brown are delighted to be partnering exclusively with an exciting retail focussed branded and own label food business in the search of a dynamic and experienced Commercial Director.

They are a leading FMCG business and part of a wider international business dedicated to expanding its footprint in the UK market. With a firm commitment to delivering top-tier, innovative products to consumers, the company stands at the forefront of the industry. As they embark on this journey of growth, they are seeking a Commercial Director who will spearhead the commercial functions, driving productivity and performance to ensure the realisation of our growth and profitability objectives.

As the Commercial Director, you will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:

* Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies in alignment with the company's overarching goals, conducting market analysis to identify growth opportunities.
* Sales and Revenue Management: Lead the sales team to surpass revenue targets, implementing effective pricing strategies and nurturing relationships with key customers.
* Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities and devise market entry strategies while staying abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
* Commercial Ownership: Spearheading Commercial, Marketing and NPD teams towards common goals.
* Team Leadership and Development: Provide strong leadership to the commercial team, recruiting, training, and motivating a skilled team, fostering collaboration across departments.
* Financial Management: Manage the commercial budget efficiently, implementing cost-control measures and analysing financial performance to drive strategic recommendations.
* Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

* Proven senior leadership experience in the FMCG industry
* Extensive experience in both private label and branded growth
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing commercial strategies
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities
* Strong analytical and financial management skills
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
* Education to Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
