As the Data Center Security Manager , you will provide functional expertise, leadership, and guidance to local data center site management. You will manage the assigned security personnel with direct responsibility for the security operation of the assigned NTT GDC data center. The Data Center Security Manager will report directly to the responsible Senior Security Operations Manager with an indirect reporting line to the local Data Center Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manages local site security teams (internal & external)
  • Plans and implements all required security measures during on-site construction and in-live fitout projects
  • Provides assistance to site personnel during incidents as required and act as an escalation point where necessary
  • Acts as the initial lead incident manager during any security incident until a dedicated incident manager has been assigned
  • Coordination of customer specific security demands/requests
  • Supports internal & external security audits
  • Support Operations, Sales and Customer Management with customer requests and attends meetings when site specific security items are being discussed/decided
  • Produces weekly & monthly Security reports
  • Reacts upon security system faults/issues at site level and takes appropriate measures to resolve them including the planning of regular maintenance and remedial fixes
  • Participates in on-call duties as required by the business

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in the security industry, ideally within Data Center Security and/ or critical infrastructure, corporate security
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English both, written and verbal
  • Proficiency with various security systems such as access control, CCTV, Fire Detection etc
  • Experience in leading a team of security officers & control room staff
  • Ability to develop, produce and interpret security metrics
  • Ability to implement and maintain strict security standards, policies and procedures
  • Solid background in managing medium to large security operations
  • Ability to prioritize workloads
  • Good leadership skills
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to motivate others
  • To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
