Everyone Health: Health Check Trainer

Full Time Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated professional with experience and a special interest in health promotion and delivery of health checks.

Playing a pivotal role within this holistic, integrated service, you will be responsible for the working as part of a countywide lifestyle multi-disciplinary team, leading on programme management and delivery of Health Checks within workplaces. Based within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, this role is crucial in supporting the Health Check Coordinator as well as providing support for the wider team.

The key functions of the role are:

  • Lead the planning, co-ordination, and delivery of Health Checks delivered within workplaces in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
  • Lead on service development and raise the profile of workplace Health Checks within and across the local networks, supporting the co-ordination of intervention in all localities.
  • Make contacts, by liaising with key partner organisations, develop and maintain professional links with workplaces across the locality, including promoting the Health Checks Service and your role to contact groups where there may be barriers to understanding/service deliver
  • Deliver Health Checks within workplace settings.
  • Experience and knowledge of benefits of a healthy lifestyle and managing key risk factors: healthy eating and increasing physical activity levels, smoking cessation and reducing alcohol consumption.
  • Creative and pro-active with strong planning, time management, empathy and interpersonal skills.
