The Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, combined with a proven record in sales and business growth.

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and expanding market presence UK.

You will be responsible for building and nurturing partnerships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders while championing innovative machining solutions to a wide range of customers and sectors.

The key measurables will be you identifying include new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and negotiating contracts that align with the company's exacting standards and technical requirements. The business has an excellent reputation for machining expertise with the capability to work on hugely specialised complex low volume components and larger volume batch production.

The Business Development Manager will work closely with their engineering and production teams to ensure client specifications are met with the utmost accuracy and efficiency.

The Person

The ideal candidate will possess a proven record in developing new business channels in precision engineered products, ideally machined components.

The successful BDM will demonstrate and strategic and insightful approach to developing business including developing a wide range of sectors including aerospace, industrial, medical, and automotive customers.

You will possess a solid understanding of precision engineering processes, be able to read an engineering drawing and demonstrate the value proposition that the business can deliver - as part of a rapid and agile machining operation.

The Business Development Manager will operate UK wide and be comfortable to undertake travel as and when required to customer sites and trade shows. A full driving licence is required for the role.
