Job Title: Lead QA
Chiswick, London – Majority remote working with the requirement to go to the office on business needs.
Due to growth, we have 3 brand new permanent QA Lead vacancies reporting into our Head of Quality Assurance, each role will be responsible for a specific Domain.
As the Lead QA you will be accountable for the effective planning, co-ordination, management, execution and reporting of QA activities for projects, programmes, and applications. You will also be responsible for ensuring that new and amended systems, configurations, packages, or services, together with any interfaces, perform as specified (including technical, security and non-functional requirements). Risks associated with changes are adequately understood, documented, and communicated.
Understands link between professional development and performance management.
Responsible for the quality of all QA activities and artefacts on projects and programmes, ensuring they meet expectations of stakeholders and follow guidelines set out by QA CoE.
Manages all risks associated with QA and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable. Evaluates risk potential based on the results of the QA during any / all stages of the project.
Accountable for planning, resourcing and execution of all project and programme QA activities. Responsible for ensuring projects have appropriately skilled and experienced QAs in a timely manner and project complete to schedule and agreed quality criteria.
Identifies opportunities for improvements in QA processes and manages changes through to completion, demonstrating improvement and value to stakeholders.
Defines strategies to ensure effective and efficient quality assurance, including the use of specialised testing tools and techniques. Ensure stakeholder alignment and agrees priorities which balance desirable versus practical QA strategies.
Determines project-testing standards for all phases, influencing all parties to conform to those standards. Liaises with project managers to manage the expectations for QA stages and agrees "quality gate" criteria and corrective action.
Work closely with business stakeholders to support and develop UAT understanding and capabilities.
Proactively build relationships across BSI, Technology, related change delivery teams, 3rd party suppliers and business divisions to integrate QA into delivery lifecycles and ensure solutions meet business requirements and expectations.
Ensuring the quality of outputs from 3rd party suppliers meets BSIs expectations.
An active member of the “community of practice”, supporting and promoting professional accreditation, developing, and sharing best practice, and dissemination of lessons learnt.
Proven experience within another QA/Testing role.
Software Testing/Test Management experience.
People management experience. (Ability to manage multiple projects. SAP, Salesforce, Workday or other similar programmes.
