This role sits as part of our clients SLT and is most suited to a hands on Operations Director (or talented Manager looking for their next step), you will hold operational responsibility across core areas including Warehousing, Procurement and Customer/Office operations as well as lead on strategic goals and initiatives.

  • Direct line responsibility for the Buying and Operations Managers and their respective teams, providing guidance, mentoring and support
  • Development and implementation of strategic initiatives to optimise warehouse operations, including stock management, order fulfilment, and shipping processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Implementation of procurement strategies, including all purchasing activities, vendor management, negotiation to ensure efficient sourcing and supply chain quality and reliability.
  • Encourage and lead a collaborative culture of accountability, high-performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Expertly monitor and analyse data and performance metrics identifying areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall efficiency/customer satisfaction.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships across the broader team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency across all areas
  • Consider industry trends, market conditions, regulatory changes and technologies to adapt strategies, mitigate potential risks, drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including data, health and safety and import/export.

Our client is keen to attract a proactive, hands on Operations Director with experience in a similarly fast paced, high volume E-commerce environment. You will have demonstratable experience of creating efficiencies, managing budgets and driving growth opportunities.
