Senior Development Underwriter - PI

The market is growing exponentially and we want to make the most of the opportunity by adding a specialist Senior Underwriter with Professional Indemnity expertise to our Northern Region regional team.
We want to work with an energetic and driven person with a broad knowledge who also has the desire to share their knowledge to help support a team of underwriters. Promoting PI in the Northern Region region, including training of local underwriters and brokers as required
Coaching and mentoring less experienced underwriters helping them build product specific knowledge and sales skills amongst underwriters
Leading and setting and execution of the local underwriting strategy for your specialist area in conjunction with the Branch Manager and Regional Underwriting Manager
Leading underwriting in your specialist area by taking referrals of more complex risks
An excellent understanding of PI and underwriting larger more complex risks
Excellent knowledge of the insurance market, industry, competitors, Brokers and factors that can affect the market including soft/hard markets
