SENCO We have an exciting job opportunity at school located In Northfield . The school is currently looking for a candidate who has previous experience of being a qualified SENCO. The following details are essential requirements for the ideal candidate:

  • A honours degree, a PGCE or equivalent and QTS.
  • Special Educational Needs Coordinator qualification or the willingness to undertake this qualification.
  • Experience of teaching KS2, KS3 or KS4
  • Experience of working as a SENCO or working within an SEN department e.g. Assistant SENCO.
  • Experience of setting targets and monitoring, evaluating, and recording progress.
  • Experience of coaching/advising colleagues.
  • Good skills in ICT, and in verbal and written communication.
  • Proven ability to develop vision, to plan and to innovate.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding.
It is essential that you have experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including but not limited to Autism, Attachment Disorder, SEMH ADHD, ADD, and Learning Disabilities. You will have a current awareness of the SEND agenda and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
